ASP.NET – Caching feature

Caching is the feature store the informations for future use when request the first time. ASP.NET allows to store the data types, pages or part of the pages for further request to avoid unnecessary time taking to re render or recreated or reprocess the same portion again and again.

It may be stored in webserver or proxy server or web browser.

  1. Output cache – using @OutputCache directive to declare the various parameter and policy for this category.

  1. Traditional cache method programmatically to store the dataset or datatype in the server for further use.

 

Cache["DirectAddition"] = "Direct addition";

Cache.Add(…………………………………..);

Cache.Insert(………………………………….);

Response.Write("Direct Method Cache .." + Cache["DirectAddition"].ToString());
