English – Past tense – regular form

Standard
 

Past tense       

1.      Last week, last month, last year, yesterday, day before yester day

2.      maximum verb + ed

3.      was, were, had, might, did, could, should, would – auxiliary verb

 

 

Simple: Ram ran yester day morning at the park.

Negative: Ram did not run yester day morning at the park.

 

 

Past continuous

1.      Ist person singular + was + verb + ing

2.      Ist person plural + were + verb + ing

3.      IInd person singular/plural + were + verb + ing

4.      IIIrd person singular + was + verb + ing

5.      IIIrd person plural + were + verb + ing

 

 

Simple: Ram was running yester day morning same time at the park.

Negative: Ram was not running yester day morning same time at the park.

 

 

Past perfect

1.      Ist, IInd, IIIrd person singular / plural + had + perfect

Simple: Ram had run yester day morning same time at the park.

Negative: Ram had not run yester day morning same time at the park.
